A very rare piece of period oak which I am very pleased to have in stock, these chests are seldom found especially in oak. Of compact size and with a turn over top which rests on slide supports, it has eight drawers and stands on bracket feet. Made to carry a gentleman's possessions with him on his travels providing him with storage and a writing desk or table. Measuring 30 inches wide 17 inches deep and 32 inches high. Click on picture for more details.     Antique Oak Housekeepers Cupboard (Ref: 033) - £12,500 SS Circa 1800 this antique oak house keepers cupboard is a very impressive piece with many beautiful features incorporating a 30 hour oak long case clock. The clock is keeping good time and strikes on the hour, it has an attractive hand painted face which is also in remarkable condition. This early oak cupboard will have been commissioned by someone to fit a space and since then has been well cared for, it has a wonderful colour and patina - a truly magnificent cupboard.
