When you are overhauling your bathroom, there are a number of design features which need consideration. Firstly, is the type of wall covering you will use. A sensible choice will always be tiled, as they are waterproof, easy to clean and they look great. Some homes look good with a combination of tiles and paint – be sure to choose bathroom paint (usually called kitchen and bathroom paint) as this is more resistant to steam, which can cause regular paint to bubble and peel.

For other decorative features, plenty of storage is a must have, especially if your bathroom is large enough to store towels, beauty products and toiletries. A family bathroom will be used frequently so it is a good idea to have all your essentials to hand.
